Our business and team is growing again! Both Mike Small and Amanda Bradbury have joined NetSearch Direct this fall. We are pleased to welcome them to our team of SEO professionals.
Mike Small joined our team as a Sr. SEO Manager, managing the optimization of our client’s websites for search engines and marketing. Mike graduated from Southwest University, then did graduate work at Harvard and Villanova – mostly through night school while working full-time. He began doing SEO back in 1996 when SEO was called “website optimization”, working for a New Hampshire based company called Harborlight Marketing. He started out as a web copywriter years ago and thought SEO showed a lot of promise so he started learning it.
Mike founded a business called DotCom Pirates in 1998 with his best friend Scott, who he continues to stay in touch with today. He has also done a handful of contracts as an IT project manager to qualify for the Project Management Professional certification (PMP) while maintaining 30 to 40 hours per week in SEO. Mike moved to Richmond in 2002, staying a partner in DotCom Pirates until August 2010 when he accepted the position of Sr. SEO Manager here at Netsearch Direct and has been loving it ever since.
Amanda Bradbury graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Communications. She joined our team as an SEO/SEM specialist, optimizing our client’s websites for search engines and marketing. She previously worked as a content coordinator at Capital One and freelance web content editor at Free Agents Marketing. She also writes the “Frugal Richmond” column weekly for Richmond.com. She brings her knowledge of writing, editing, SEO and social media skills to our team. In her spare time Amanda enjoys freelance writing, frugal living, and spending time with family and friends.
