We get lots of questions from customers new to the SEO experience and even those who have tried SEO in the past but aren’t sure how we can do it better for them. We took a few of our favorite questions and expanded on the answers a bit to give you a glimpse into how SEO can work wonders for your business.
Q: Tell me what I need to be #1. Blogs? A new website? New content?
A: Each SEO campaign is unique to its website. Some websites rank highly when we add a how-to video demonstrating the product, some websites shoot to the top of the SERP with blogs and article submissions, and some sites need keyword refinement every quarter as search behavior changes. It’s really a combination of tools and site work. Our first step is to review your site to identify where your biggest weaknesses lie and when those are resolved we work on the more finite details of your site and implement strategies appropriate for your business.
Q: When will I see results?
A: Again, that depends. Brand new sites take longer to rank than previously established sites that are just in for a facelift. The vertical that you’re advertising in (your business type) influences your rankings too – naturally some industries are more competitive than others and companies are spending large chunks of time, and cash, to optimize their sites and drive away competition. The best SEO strategies don’t equal success overnight and you should be wary of any agencies that promise just that: usually they’re utilizing “black hat” tactics which can get your site penalized and even permanently kicked off the search engine.
