Since then, of course, marketing and promotional opportunities have changed a great deal so they evolved by adding a website into their mix. Helping an undisclosed national franchisor discover its ROI
Google Analytics is the standard for web audience metrics, but few companies employ it to its utmost. A company with franchisees in more than 20 states came to us with a problem: it could not measure the success of its search marketing campaigns because it could not differentiate between national customers and local customers in its audience metrics. Blind to the results, the company was hesitant to invest in its web presence and was losing business to competitors.
Our solution: modify the company’s existing web application to communicate data to Google Analytics via custom variable settings, and to create custom reports that displayed the data in easily-understood form. No longer two discrete data pools, application and web audience metrics were combined to yield total visibility into the effectiveness of the company’s search marketing efforts. Coupled with our telephone call tracking service, we have given the company the means to determine the ROI of its online efforts.
