Richmond, Va. -- Gov. Mark Warner is scheduled to speak at a luncheon meeting of the Richmond Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) on Tuesday, July 20. Gov. Warner will address a diverse group of women and minority-owned business owners, including members of River City Express Network, the Metropolitan Business League, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council, and the Asian American Cultural Society.
The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the SunTrust Building, 919 E. Main St., in the executive dining room on the 24th floor.
Among the other featured speakers at the luncheon will be John McDonald, area president of Verizon Information Services, a major corporate partner with NAWBO. McDonald will unveil plans for a new women and minority-owned section that will make its nationwide debut in the 2005 Richmond SuperPages directory.
